I was thinking this morning about how dark it gets when the electricity goes off. I can’t see anything unless I turn on my flashlight. Yet, it never gets dark in my heart because Jesus lives there. Even in the midst of heartaches, frustrations, trials and criticism, His light is bright.
There are many people in darkness because they have not invited the Christ of Calvary into their hearts to save them. There are also many Christians who even though they have the light of Jesus in their hearts, don’t allow Him to shine. There may be brand new batteries in our flashlights, but if we never turn them on we will still be in darkness.
I have many dear friends that I love receiving email from because I feel the light and Love of Jesus in their messages. They have allowed Jesus to illuminate their hearts with His glorious light so that it shines upon their families and friends. They not only have given their hearts to Jesus, they have given Him their lives in service.
Do you have the Light of the world living in your heart? If so, have you allowed Him to shine through you? Do people feel the Love of Jesus coming from your heart? Have you hugged someone for Jesus today? Have you told someone that Jesus Loves him or her?
