OUR COMPASSIONATE SAVIOUR

“Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst. Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.”

Nehemiah 9: 20, 21 King James Version

If I am on my feet more than an hour, they swell and my legs ache terribly. Our Compassionate Saviour sustained them for forty years in the wilderness and they lacked nothing. Their clothes didn’t wear out and their feet didn’t swell. He also fed them and gave them water.

Many of us have wandered in the wilderness of the world for many years trying to find happiness. There is no real happiness to be found in the world. Cars, houses, boats, swimming pools, and all other possessions may be nice to have, but they don’t give lasting happiness.

The only real Happiness is to be found in the Arms of our Compassionate Saviour. He gives us Peace, Joy, Hope, Love, Victory, Assurance, and Comfort which will never end. He also instructs us in the way to live and treat others.

If you’re wandering in the wilderness of doubts, fears, loneliness, confusion, heartache, and depression, open your heart and life to Jesus. Let Him give you the Peace and Love that nobody and nothing can give. He will take away all the hurt and pain and replace it with His Healing Balm of Love.
