OUR REDEEMING SAVIOUR

“Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high, Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth! He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.”

There is no one like Jesus! Only Jesus can lift us up out of the stench of our sins. One day, many years ago, He looked down and saw me laying under a bed in a mental hospital. I had no hope and no desire to live. I hated everybody and I certainly didn’t trust anyone. I wasted many years trying to think of a way to commit suicide that didn’t hurt me or my loved ones.

I have loved Jesus for many years but I didn’t know that He Loved me. I didn’t think He could possibly Love me because of all the terrible things I had done in the past. While laying under that bed in the hospital, I said if You could possibly Love me and get me out of this hospital, I promise You that I will serve You as long as You help me.

Jesus is a loving and compassionate Saviour. He understands that we are weak and will fail Him. When we are weak, He is strong for us. When we cry, He cries with us and when we rejoice, He rejoices with us. There is no friend like Jesus! He walks beside us and holds our hand to keep us from falling. He surrounds us with His protection. What a wonderful Saviour we serve!

I receive many emails from people who tell me that they don’t think Jesus can forgive them and Love them. I tell you on the Authority of the Word of God that He is a forgiving and Loving Saviour. What He says, He will do because He is not a liar.
