When I asked God to give me a heart of compassion for others, I found myself asking Him to please give satan another chance. Even today, my heart breaks at times when I think about satan being in Heaven and how God had to throw him out because he tried to be like God. I’m sure that God is still sad because He had to throw satan out of Heaven. God is Love!
O dear friends, if it were not for His mercy and grace all of us would be in trouble. I wish with all my heart that satan could have another chance even though he has caused me so much heartache and grief. I have been given many chances which I did not deserve. Thank God for His understanding and patience with us.
Let’s pray for God to fill our hearts with compassion for the lost and for our families, loved ones and friends. We need to make a special effort to encourage one another and bear each other’s burdens. When we see someone who is hurting physically, emotionally or financially, let’s hold them up in prayer.
Have you been hurt by someone and are harboring a grudge against that person? If so, give your resentment and bitterness to Jesus. Allow Him to comfort you and give you compassion for that person. Remember, if He didn’t have compassion for us, He would never have allowed Himself to be crucified for our sins and we would be on our way to hell for eternity.
