PRECIOUS TEARS

“Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?”

Psalm 56: 8 King James Version

I receive so many emails from people with broken hearts; people who tell me that they can’t stop crying. Your tears are precious to Jesus. He sees the tears that others don’t see, the tears in your heart. I have a very dear friend who many times has tears in her heart but when you look at her or talk to her, you would never know it. The only reason I know is because I have prayed for her so much that God has revealed it to me.

All of us have tears in our hearts at times. Jesus knows what it is like to have a broken heart. His Heart was broken on Calvary. His Heart still breaks because of the way we treat each other. I’m sure Jesus has tears in His Heart when we don’t take time to talk to Him. We get so busy doing things for Him that we don’t spend time with Him.

I think as Mary, the mother of Jesus, saw her Son being abused and hanging on that cruel Cross, she not only had tears running down her cheeks, she had tears in her heart. When Jesus was being tortured, God had tears in His Heart. I have thought about this a lot, how God must have felt to see His Beloved Son treated like He was treated on that terrible, tragic day. How His Heart must have hurt!

If, today, your heart is broken and you have tears in your heart, Jesus understands and is waiting to dry your tears. Open your heart to Jesus and He will kiss away your tears. He will pick you up and set you on His Lap of Love and Tenderness and will Comfort you.
