If we haven’t invited the Christ of Calvary into our hearts and asked Him to forgive us for our sins, we don’t have real freedom. When Jesus applies His blood of forgiveness to our hearts, we will have fireworks of happiness, love, joy, acceptance, mercy and forgiveness in our hearts.
Every day should be a celebration because Jesus has set us free from the guilt of our past. He, who knew no sin, took our sins upon Him on the cross so that we may have this precious freedom in our hearts. He paid an agonizing price so that we would be set free from our sins and be assured of a home in Heaven with Him for eternity. There is no real freedom until Jesus sets us free from the bondage of sin.
There will be people watching the fireworks display tonight that have unforgiveness in their hearts because they have never forgiven the people that have hurt them. O’ that we would understand that we also hurt people. How can we ask the Saviour of the world to forgive us and not hold our past against us when we don’t forgive our families, loved ones and friends?
Do you have the freedom of Jesus in your heart? Have you asked Him to forgive you? If so, then you need to forgive others as He has so graciously forgiven you. Only then, will you have real freedom in your heart.
