We have a brand new year to rejoice and give thanks to Jesus for His Love, Mercy, and Grace to us. The Bible says that there is gladness for the upright in heart. If we are constantly sad, then we need to go to Jesus and ask Him if there is something that is not pleasing to Him.
The Scripture says light is sown for the righteous. If we are stumbling in the darkness of our sins, then we need to ask Jesus to forgive us and illuminate our hearts and lives with His Light.
Jesus gives us so many things to be thankful for each day. If you are having trouble rejoicing and giving thanks to Jesus, start thanking Him for the air you breathe, the homes you live in, the clothes you wear, the food you eat, the families you have, and the Love that He gives to us.
Yes, we can rejoice and give thanks to Jesus for many things. Even as I am typing this, I am thanking Him for my fingers and that I am able to type for Him. I thank Him that even though I experience pain with my arthritis, I am still able to serve Him.
I urge you to rejoice and thank Him today for all He has done for you and is doing for you right now. We take Him for granted most of the time. None of us deserve any good thing. It is only through His Love, Blood, and Mercy that we are privileged to call Him our Saviour.
