REMEMBERING HIS MERCY

“He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.”

Acts 7: 36 King James Version

As we are remembering the ones who gave their lives for their country, let us not forget the mercy of God that He gives to us. He led them through the wilderness and did sign and wonders, but when something went wrong they started complaining. We do the same thing today.

The greatest mercy He has given us is our salvation and to be assured of being with Jesus for all Eternity if we have made a heart commitment to Him. If the Saviour of the world can have mercy on us, then we should also show mercy to people who hurt us. Jesus forgives us and sometimes it’s for the same thing we have done over and over. When someone does the same thing to hurt us, we need to remember that Jesus forgives us for doing the same thing.

The men and women who gave their lives in service to their country have done a wonderful thing. The greatest sacrifice ever made was when Jesus gave His life not only for our country, but for the world. There is no one like Jesus. There is no friend like Jesus. How amazing that the Saviour of the world Loves us so much and cares about our happiness!

Let’s be merciful to our loved ones and friends just as Jesus is merciful to us. We need to remember what Jesus did for us and does for us. Do you know Jesus? Is He your personal Saviour? If not, ask Him to forgive your sins, come into your heart and save you. You will have a joy and peace that you have never known. He will never leave you, not even for a minute.
