Three days ago, satan attacked me with another poisonous dart, sadness. I fought against feeling sad all day. As soon as I got in bed, I felt a peace, comfort and encouragement in my heart that can only come from lying in the arms of Jesus. It doesn’t matter how much the world and satan attacks us, and what they attack us with because in the arms of Jesus there is safety.
I had a bad dream the other night about a tornado. In my dream, I went to a storm shelter and Angie was there. I remember saying hello to her and then I woke up. I realized that it had only been a dream and since I know several people named Angie and wasn’t sure which Angie had been in the dream, I prayed for every Angie in the world. When we have a bad dream, as soon as we wake up we can thank Jesus for His arms of protection and pray for the people who were in the dream.
Sometimes when we are facing trials and heartaches, it seems like we are an open target for the attacks of the world and satan. However, in the arms of Jesus there is safety. He gently puts His strong and protective arms around us and shields us from all danger be it physical, emotional, financial or spiritual. We can depend on Him because He has promised us that He will never leave us or forsake us.
If you are frightened and discouraged today, I urge you to seek the safety of the arms of Jesus. He Loves you so much and yearns to protect you from all harm. Go to Him and pour out your heart. You will be safe in His arms.
