I have read stories of people who were looking for gold. Some of them had spent all of their money on prospecting equipment. Many of them looked all day until it was so dark they couldn’t see any more. O that we would put that much money and time into telling others about the Love of Jesus!
When is the last time you called someone and invited him or her over for lunch or dinner, or took that person out to eat? How many hours a day do we spend on ourselves and how many hours a day do we spend on people who Jesus Loves?
The Bible says that a man is more precious than fine gold. Jesus is a lot more interested in whom we encourage and comfort, than He is in how much money we make. Have you ever been discouraged and wanted someone to call or visit you? There are many people who feel the same way. I received an email today from someone who is hurting because no one calls or comes to see this person.
We need to make a special effort to go searching for people who need to hear that Jesus Loves them. What better time to start than right now, the beginning of a new year. I urge you to spread the Love of Jesus to a hurting and lost world.
