I have been singing to Jesus and I sound like a frog because of my cold. My voice breaks up and even to me, I sound terrible. The Bible says to make a joyful noise so that is what I am doing. It is definitely not a joyful noise to me, but to the Ears of Jesus it is music because it comes from my heart.
Many years ago when I lived in Oklahoma, there was a lady who sang in the choir and played the piano for church. She sang like an angel. At that time, I was in one of the lowest valleys of my life. Every time that she sang a solo, my heart was touched through all the despair, loneliness, and grief.
We do not know when God is going to use the talents He has given us to encourage someone. If God has given you a talent to write, sing, preach, or anything else, and you do not utilize it, not only are you robbing others of encouragement, you are breaking the Heart of Jesus.
Many times we think that it needs to be presented in a professional manner before we can do something. If you can write, do not wait until you have enough for a book to share your writings. If you can sing, please share right now with others. You do not have to make a professional recording. You can simply record your songs or writings on a tape and give them to your family, friends, and loved ones.
Are you singing from your heart to Jesus? Are you giving back to Him the talents He has given to you? He may want to use you today to encourage someone.
