Sin Is Sin

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”

James 2: 10 King James Version

Someone make the remark “If I don’t want to talk to someone, I told my husband to tell the person that I’m busy”. We are living in a world that is based on deception and lies. Many relationships are built on lies and deception.

We focus so much on alcoholics, drug addicts, homosexuals, and murderers, but bury our own sins under a “Holier than thou attitude”. This attitude stinks in the nostrils of Jesus. Sin is sin!

We need to stop being hypocrites, and that includes me because sometimes I tend to judge other people. We need to be honest with each other. We would have a support system that the world has never known if only we could be genuine with our feelings. We would have no need to go to mental hospitals if we were able to say how we felt without fear of judgment, criticism, sarcasm, and ridicule.

We need to practice what Jesus has told us, to love one another with unconditional love. We need to understand that when someone has a sin in his or her life that is a struggle, but for the Grace of God we would be struggling with the same issue. All of us have sin in our lives and we need to be encouraging one another and praying for one another as Jesus has commanded.

It is time to put the sharp knife down and extend the Love of Jesus to our families, friends, and to a world that is hurting desperately. We would make Jesus very happy if we would love one another as He has commanded us to do.
