STOP JUDGING

"But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not to one another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him."

I used to have a lot of trouble with telling lies until I asked Jesus to help me. In this verse, it says to put off all of these things. Parents will tell their children to tell people when they call, My mom isn’t home". That is a lie, and what is even worse, they are teaching their children to lie.

When people ask you how you are feeling and you are sick, if you say, "I’m fine", that is a lie. I know four people that deal with sickness in this manner. It’s okay if that is how you choose to deal with it, by not talking about it, but according to the Bible, it is still a lie.

Why is it that we are so quick to judge one another, and yet we ignore the bad things that we do? All of us are guilty of something, and when Jesus took our sins on Him on the Cross, He took all of our sins.

Instead of judging each other, we need to start praying for that person, not pray against that person, but pray for that person. Ask Jesus to change that person’s heart. Remember, Jesus said, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a STONE at her." (John 8:7)
