Storms Of Life

“He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?”

Matthew 16: 2, 3 King James Version

I think Jesus probably said this with a mixture of anger and hurt. We have all kinds of expensive equipment to predict the weather and spend a lot of money on the equipment. Yet, we can’t even take someone out to eat who is hurting. May God forgive us! If we would spend as much time and money on the ones who are broken hearted and feel all alone, we would make the Heart of Jesus happy.

The weather reports say that we have a good chance of having strong storms tonight. O dear friends, there are strong storms raging every hour in the hearts of our families and friends. If we would only take the time and effort to get to know a person’s heart, we would see the hidden pain.

Today alone, I have received sixteen emails from people who are hurting and they desperately need to know that someone cares. They need to know that they are loved for who they are, and not for what we expect from them.

If we don’t love others as Jesus has asked us to do, then I think we need to search our hearts and see if we really love Jesus the way we should. Jesus gave His Life for us. How can we do less than give everything we have to Him? It all belongs to Him anyway.
