TEARS IN THE HEART

“Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.”

Psalm 56: 8, 9 King James Version

Th

ere are countless people walking around with smiles on their faces but they have tears in their hearts. In the last three weeks, I have received several emails and talked to twelve people in person who are broken hearted over their spouses, their children and many other heartbreaking situations. There is only one solution for a broken heart and the tears they keep hidden in their hearts, and His name is Jesus!

Our tears are precious to Him. He puts them in a bottle and records them. I don’t think it impresses Him if we cry because we don’t have the money to buy expensive things, things that we really don’t need. I think what touches His heart are the tears that we shed over our spouses, children, families and loved ones. Nothing touches the heart of Jesus like love because He is Love! When He sees us broken hearted and weeping for someone, His heart melts and He is filled with compassion and understanding.

If we have accepted Jesus and His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins and asked Him to forgive us, then we have the joy and happiness that only He can give. However, He also understands that there are times that we are unable to keep smiling and we need someone to hug us and prove that He is working out all things for our good. Have you hugged someone for Jesus today? Jesus Loves us! He cries when we cry and He rejoices when we rejoice.
