THE BABY BROUGHT LOVE

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.”

Luke 2: 10 – 12 King James Version

What a day of great rejoicing, the day that our precious Saviour was born in a manger to bring love into the world! Not only did He bring unconditional love into the world; He is unconditional love Himself. He was sent by His Father on a mission to bring us unconditional love and to die for our sins. There is no greater love than the love of our dear Heavenly Father and our loving Saviour.

Christmas is next month and we should already be preparing our hearts to worship this dear baby who was born to set us free from our sins. As we gather with our families and loved ones on Christmas, let us not forget that Christmas is not just about eating a delicious meal and buying gifts. Christmas is about giving the unconditional love of Jesus to our families, to our loved ones, to our friends and to a world who desperately needs to be loved.

That precious baby who was born in a manger grew up and became the Saviour of the world. He allowed Himself to be tortured, humiliated, cursed, spat upon, mocked, rejected and crucified on the old rugged cross for your sins and for mine. He gave His life for us so that we might have the forgiveness of sins. There is no one like Jesus!

As you make your preparations for Christmas, don’t forget to prepare your heart to worship our precious Saviour. He brought love into the world which is the greatest gift of all. Let’s give the gift of unconditional love to everyone we meet. Thank You, Jesus, for Your unconditional love for us and for dying for us on the cross so that we can have our sins forgiven and live with You for all eternity. Indeed, You are wonderful, precious and a compassionate Saviour. Amen.
