THE DOOR IS STUCK

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

Isaiah 43: 2 King James Version

I had a terrible dream yesterday. In the dream, a fire had erupted and I tried to get out the door, but it was stuck and no matter how hard I pushed on the door, it wouldn’t open. I was starting to get worried and then I woke up. As soon as I woke up, I realized that it had been a bad dream. Thank God for His protection from the scorching heat of satan and the world.

The thought came to me that there are times when we allow bitterness, resentment, hatred, jealousy, and anger to build up in our hearts. It is then that we need to run to Jesus and allow Him to take them away. We are powerless to change our hearts. It takes the understanding, grace, mercy, tenderness and love of Jesus to remove them and open the door to our hearts once again.

I don’t know what trials and heartaches you are having, but I can tell you on the authority of the Word of God that there is nothing that Jesus can’t fix. He is the solution to every need, every heartache, and every problem. He became our solution when He died on the cross for us. Alcohol and drugs may temporarily make us forget our problems but they can’t solve them.

Has the blood of Jesus been applied to your heart? Without His atoning and cleansing blood, none of us will make it to Heaven. Have you allowed the world and satan to make your heart bitter and hardened? If so, ask Jesus to lubricate your heart with His forgiveness and mercy.
