THE GREATEST NAME

"And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. I was talking with a friend of mine over the phone this afternoon and he mentioned working with a man who is well known in the political field. My immediate thought was, it is not what we know in this world that sometimes helps us, it is whom we know.

I have a Friend, and His Name is Jesus. His Name is the only Name in which we are assured of a Home in Heaven if we have made a heart commitment to Him.

It is sad to say, but it is possible that more people have heard the name of this man in politics, than have heard the Name of Jesus. The reason they have not heard the Name of Jesus is because no one has said it to them. They have heard the name of our favorite sports team, the name of our favorite singer, and the name of our favorite television show, but we have neglected to tell them about the Greatest Name of all, Jesus.

His Name is above every name, and one day at the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord! (Philippians 2:10) Yes, there is no Greater Name than that of my Best Friend, Jesus. Have you told someone today about Jesus? If not, then please tell someone who may never have heard the Beautiful Name of Jesus.
