THE HEALING LOVE OF OUR SAVIOUR

“And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.”

Matthew 14: 14 King James Version

Jesus is our great Physician. Not only does our precious Saviour heal our bodies, He also heals our hearts and our emotions. Our loving Saviour sees the hurt and pain in our hearts. He dispenses His unconditional love and grace, mercy, forgiveness and understanding to our hurting hearts. What a Saviour! There is no one like Jesus! No one loves us like Jesus loves us.

He is a friend beyond compare. He tenderly takes our hands and walks beside us through all of life’s disappointments and heartaches. He leans over and gently wipes the tears from our eyes with His kisses. He whispers in our ears “I love you. I will never leave you.” Indeed, our precious Saviour dispenses a healing love. He hurts with us and He rejoices when we are happy.

Those of us who claim to be Christians have a mandate to tell a world that is hurting about the precious love of a risen Saviour. We need to witness to them but we must first let them know how much Jesus loves them. Many times when I was going door to door on visitation, people would slam the door in my face. At the time, it hurt me and sometimes discouraged me. However, not one time did I ever tell them that Jesus loves them before I asked them if they were saved. It is a wonder that anybody listened to me.

We must be about the Master’s business of spreading His unconditional love while there is still time. We sometimes live like we will have forever to tell our families, loved ones and friends that Jesus loves them. We usually don’t have too many difficulties telling them that we love them but we sometimes find it hard to tell them that Jesus loves them. It should be the first priority in our lives to tell others about the amazing and unconditional love of our precious Saviour. It should come before everything and everyone.

Precious Jesus, I come to You asking You to please dispense Your healing love to our hearts. There are so many of Your children who are hurting not only physically, but also emotionally. Would You in Your grace and mercy heal our broken hearts and our fragmented lives? There are marriages that are in trouble and children that have strayed. We need Your touch and understanding in these matters. Please encourage our hearts, lead us and protect us. Thank You for all You have done for us and for all that You do for us every day. Indeed, You are a precious and beautiful Saviour. Amen.
