THE LOVING MERCY OF JESUS

“He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness. And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy. And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.”

Psalm 106: 9-11 King James Version

I received an email recently that was full of criticism and hatred. For a couple of hours, I stopped praying for this person because it appeared that the person was trying to play God, or become God. I sent an email to some friends asking them to pray for the situation. I received a lot of encouraging email with different responses to the situation. One said that the person was jealous; another said the person thought he or she was perfect.

When we step out into full time service for Jesus, there is always going to be people who think they are better than anyone else. We need to remember that the Bible says, “There is none that doeth good, no not one”.

If you have been attacked because of your service to Jesus, then start rejoicing because it means you are doing something right or satan wouldn’t be so angry. It is sad but many times we allow satan to use us to attack our brothers and sisters. As soon as I recognized what was happening, I started laughing and told satan that he will never win so he might as well give up.

May God forgive us if we are the ones who have attacked someone who is serving Jesus! We will stand before God and give an account for every critical and judgmental word that we have said to them. We need to pray for our enemies and get out of the way and let Jesus take care of the situation.
