THE WARMTH OF HIS LOVE

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

John 3:16-17 King James Version

When I am hurting physically, emotionally, financially, or just want to be alone with Jesus, I go to my bedroom and close the door. I turn on the fan so I won’t hear my parakeet chirping and get in bed and cover up and just bask in the Love of Jesus for me. There is no other love like the Love of Jesus. The Warmth of the Love of Jesus penetrates my entire body and energizes and revives me.

The verse says “For God so loved the world”. Most of us know this verse by heart and can quote it to anyone. However, sometimes we take it for granted just as we do the words to the songs we sing. Sometimes we sing the same songs so much that we don’t even think about the words we are singing to Jesus.

If you are hurting or just need to feel the Love of Jesus anew, pick out a place in your home where you can go and be alone with Jesus. It is wonderful to have family and friends and we all need each other, but only Jesus can quench the hunger in our hearts for Unconditional Love.

Just as we long to hear Him say to us “I Love you”, so He longs to hear us say to Him, “I love You”. If we would ever realize how we hurt Jesus when we don’t tell Him we love Him, I think we would tell Him over and over again. Have you told Jesus today that you love Him? Do you love Him?
