VISUAL LOVE

“Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch. Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.”

Acts 11: 22, 23 King James Version

Two months ago, I was trying to change the clock setting on the VCR so that when I watch the Gaither Homecoming Videos the correct time would be displayed. I’m not sure what I did, however the display was no longer in English and I couldn’t understand it to change it. This morning, I got the manual for the VCR out and read the instructions but that didn’t help either because the display on the screen wasn’t in English. Finally, I saw a picture of the settings and it showed what I needed to do to change it back to English.

The same is true when we witness to people about the Love of Jesus. We can talk all day, but if they don’t see the difference Jesus has made in our lives and hearts, they won’t understand. If we go around with a sad look on our faces most of the time, they will not believe us when we tell them that Jesus is our joy.

The world has become so full of deceit that we have become skeptical when someone tells us something good. We wonder what they are trying to sell us. We need to become like little children, trusting and accepting when we are told of the Love of Jesus.

Are you showing others the Love of Jesus by your actions and facial expressions, or are you just telling them about Jesus? Let others see the Love of Jesus in you so they will want Him also.
