WE HAVE IT ALL

“Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

John 6: 32 – 35 King James Version

This sinful world that we are living in entices us daily with its bright lights and with its loud music that is very ungodly and very disrespectful to Jesus. We are told that the things in the world will bring us happiness, joy, acceptance and peace. In our desperate attempts to find peace and happiness in our lives we turn to alcohol, drugs, sex and all other things that hurts Jesus and brings shame and dishonor to His precious name. These things may temporarily take away our pain and despair and fill a little bit of the emptiness in our hearts but they don’t last. Only Jesus can give us lasting peace, acceptance, joy, happiness and love.

We have it all because Jesus is all that we need. He is more than enough for every situation, every heartache and every crisis in our lives. It does not matter how many obstacles and heartaches we have in this life. Jesus is waiting with His hand stretched downward and if we will reach up and take His hand, He will be faithful to walk with us through every dark valley. He not only will walk with us through the dark valleys; He will once again set us on the mountain tops of joy, peace, happiness and excitement.

I don’t know what is going on in your life today but Jesus knows. He sees into your heart and He feels your pain and sorrow. He knows how it feels to be criticized, rejected and ridiculed. If you will go to Him in simple child like faith, He will put His loving arms of compassion around you. He will hold you close to His loving and understanding heart and He will gently wipe away your tears of hurt, your tears of disappointment and your tears of discouragement with His tender kisses.

Yes, if Jesus lives in our hearts we do have it all. He is all that we need in this life. It doesn’t matter if our families reject us and ridicule us or if every person in the world is critical of us, He will stay close to our side and protect us. As long as our hearts are pleasing to Him, we will make Him happy. If our hearts are not pleasing to Him, we will make Him sad. How about your heart today? When Jesus looks into your heart does He see things that hurt Him or does He see things that bring joy to His heart?

Thank You, Jesus, for being all that we need. Thank You that You are always with us and that You are faithful to walk with us through the dark valleys as well as being with us on the mountain tops of joy and happiness. Thank You for loving us so much that You died for us.

You paid a debt that we could never pay. Thank You for Your blood that You shed for us on that cross of agony and horror so that we may be saved. Jesus, there is no one like You! No one loves us like You love us. What a wonderful, precious, adorable and loving Saviour You are! Thank You, thank You, thank You. Amen.
