I received two emails this morning from people whose hearts are breaking and have heavy burdens. If ever we needed a revival, it is now. We need a revival in our marriages, our homes, our families, and in the way we treat one another. We need Jesus to revive our cold hearts.
Sometimes we allow our hearts to become cold and indifferent because of being hurt so much. In times of conflict with our spouse, we need to remember the day we got married and how much in love we were. There are rocky times in every marriage. There are times of disappointment and heartache when our spouses hurt us. Yet we need to remember that we hurt them also.
We need a revival of our commitment to each other, to our marriages, to our children, and to our friendships. Any relationship must be worked at consistently for it to survive. It must be watered and nurtured with the Love of Jesus. We must prove to our loved ones that Jesus Loves them, and that we love them by our actions to them.
If ever someone had a right to become cold and indifferent, it is our Blessed Saviour. We tell Him we are going to love one another as He has commanded us to do, yet we fail to do it. We need a revival in our love and commitment to Him. It makes the Heart of Jesus happy when we show love to each other. Are you making Jesus happy, or are you making Him sad?
