A man was being interviewed and was asked “What do you want people to say about you when you die”? The man replied “I want them to say that I was a good guy”. O dear friends, when I am called home to be with Jesus, I want everyone to say that “She loved Jesus”. This should be the desire of every person’s heart to be known as someone who loved Jesus.
It doesn’t matter how big a home we have, how many cars we have, how much money we have, or how many clubs and associations we have joined. It also doesn’t matter how many good deeds we have done or how much money we have given to charities; what matters is if people know that we love Jesus. Are we living in such a way that people see and hear Him in our smiles, in our speech and in our actions?
I have been to several websites and seen an entire page devoted to what they have accomplished and how many associations and clubs they have joined, but sad to say, most of them never mention Jesus in any way. How this must break our Saviour’s heart. Our society is so goal oriented that we have lost sight of the purpose of our lives and that is to spread His Love.
What will they say about you when you die? Will they say that you loved Jesus and that you proved it by the words you spoke and the things that you did, or will they remember you for how much money you made and how many possessions you had?
