WHEN THE TEARS FLOW

“Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.”

Psalm 56: 8, 9 King James Version

Something happened yesterday that devastated me and I cried. How wonderful it is to know that when we are brokenhearted and cry Jesus keeps our tears because they are precious to Him. I received several emails over the last week and these dear people all told me that their hearts are breaking over loved ones and the tears flowed down their cheeks.

It does not matter how many trials and heartaches we have to endure, Jesus will never leave us. He will be faithful to take our hand, pick us up and set us on His lap of protection and love. When we cry unto Jesus for help, He gently kisses away the tears of hurt from our hearts. He sits beside our bed through the long, dark and lonely nights. What a Saviour! What a friend we have in Jesus! There is no one like Jesus! Nobody loves like Jesus Loves!

A pastor that I had several years ago said in one of his sermons “My friends and family may leave me but I have a friend who will never leave me and His name is Jesus”! When he preached that sermon, it went straight to my heart and I have never felt totally alone since that day. Sometimes we are unable to share what is in our hearts but He knows because He sees the anguish and pain that we keep hidden from our loved ones and He weeps with us.

He really does care for us. We are precious to Him. He died an agonizing death for us and paid the price with His own blood for our salvation and happiness. Do you know this beautiful Jesus? Has there ever been a time when you invited Him into your heart? Have you given Him all your hurt, anguish, loneliness, bitterness and anger? Have you allowed His unconditional Love to change you from a bitter person to a loving person? Have you knelt at the foot of the cross and asked Him to forgive you of your sins, come into your heart and be your personal Saviour? I can tell you from personal experience that you will have a joy and peace that you have never known. All hell can come against us but as long as we are anchored in the Love of Jesus, nobody or nothing can harm us. Thank God for the old rugged cross of Love!
