WHERE ARE THE FISH

“As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.”

John 21: 9, 10 King James Version

One day, we will stand before Jesus and He will say “Bring ye of the fish which ye have now caught”. We are to be fishers of men catching them for Jesus by our love to them. If we have never led someone to accept Jesus as personal Saviour, He is going to say to us “Where are the fish”? How tragic it would be if we were to break the Heart of our Saviour because we hadn’t caught any fish to give Him.

There is nothing in this life as urgent and important as loving people to Jesus. O’ that we would grasp the urgency of spreading the Love of Jesus to people who are hurting and without Him as their personal Saviour! We may think that we can call someone tomorrow, or send an email or regular mail to someone tomorrow. Tomorrow may not come for that person or for us. When we go to bed at night, may we be able to say to Jesus, I did the best I could today for You.

When we get up in the morning, our first thoughts should be of Jesus. We should ask Him what He wants us to do that day because what we have planned may not be His will for us. Everything that we say and everything that we do should be to make Jesus happy. Every place that we go should bring honour to Jesus. If Jesus isn’t welcome where we go, we should not go to those places.

How many fish have you caught for Jesus? When He looks at you, will He have a look of happiness or sadness in His eyes? Have you led people to accept Jesus as their personal Saviour?
