Many years ago, I called my Mother and told her that God had called me to be a missionary. She said, "Who did you say called you?" I said, "God called me." She said, "You talk like He is real." I submit to you on the Authority of the Word of God that He is real.
When I first felt the call to missions and called my Mother, I wasn’t even living for Jesus like I should have been. I didn’t even know that He Loved me. I only knew that I wanted to do something for Him.
If you can’t hear Jesus speaking to your heart, then you need to spend more time with Him. You need to get to know what makes Him happy and what makes Him sad. When you spend a lot of time with someone, many times you know what he or she is thinking because you know him or her. It is the same with Jesus, if you know His Heart, then you will know what He desires of us.
I received an email yesterday asking me how I knew Jesus was speaking to me. He asked me if I heard a voice or had a vision. I said that He just spoke to my heart like He always does. I don’t hear a voice, or see a vision. I just know His Heart and what makes Him happy. I stay in tune with Him all day so I am ready when He says something to me. Have you heard from Jesus lately?
