Many times we don’t know what to say, or for fear of showing our emotions, we just say “back at you”. I recently posted a Devotional where I said that it was wrong to say “back at you”. I did not word it right. What I meant is if someone says something kind to us and we just say “back at you” to be flippant or smart alecky, that is not nice.
I can write things on paper, but when it comes to telling someone face to face how I feel, I am unable most of the time to put it into words. I try so many times to tell Jesus how much I love Him, and I can’t find the right words. There are no words to express how much I love my Best Friend, Jesus.
It’s not the amount of words we say that matters; it is the thought behind them. Several times I have received emails saying how much they were helped by the Devotionals that Jesus inspires and they express their gratitude to me. It means a lot to me to receive affirmation, as all of us need to be affirmed. However, I don’t know how to express it so I just say thank you.
We do need to tell others of the Love of Jesus. We do need to make it public after we have accepted Jesus as our personal Saviour. Have you accepted Jesus into your heart? Are you ready to meet Him if He comes back today?
