WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE

“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.”

For about a week, I have been going through something in my life which if I allowed it, could become very discouraging. Instead, I have been praising God and thanking Him for the answer that He is going to give me. For many years, I lived with a sprit of heaviness constantly. I had no joy in my life at all. That was because I had not made a heart commitment to Jesus.

I have received several emails in the last two months from people who are going though heartache, despair, and turmoil. I have told all of them to run to Jesus and start praising Him. Not only does it keep the spirit of heaviness away from us, it makes Jesus happy when we praise Him.

The next time you are feeling down and discouraged, look up to Jesus and start telling Him how Wonderful He is, and how much you love Him. Thank Him for all He has done for you, and how He has graciously saved you from going to hell for Eternity.

Let’s praise Jesus because He is Worthy of our praise. There is no One like Jesus! There is no Friend like Jesus! Only Jesus can take away the heartaches, loneliness, and despair that we have in our lives. Praise the Beautiful Name of Jesus!
