Yesterday is gone and we can’t change it. We have a new day to serve Jesus and to share His Love with others. Every day of our lives we should sing a new song of love to Jesus. We can choose today to dwell on our problems, or we can choose to praise Jesus for His Unending Love to us.
Many of us have family and friends who have never made a heart commitment to Jesus. If they don’t see the difference Jesus can make in a life surrendered to Him, they will never come to a saving knowledge of our Blessed Saviour.
I’ve received many emails from people who said that they wished they could undo what they did the day before, and take back what they said to their spouses. We can’t change yesterday, but we can change what we say and do today. We can put down our weapons of criticism, sarcasm, and doubt.
If you are beating yourself up for the hurtful things you said or did yesterday, ask Jesus to forgive you. Then ask Him to please help you to react in situations as He would have you act. Do not allow satan to keep you feeling guilty. Don’t give him the satisfaction and let him think that he won over Jesus. Jesus will always win over satan!
Yesterday is gone, but we have a new day so let’s use it to make Jesus happy. Jesus deserves to be happy after all He has done for us. Worthy is the Lamb of God!
