You Are Accepted

“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.”

Ephesians 1: 6, 7 King James Version

Several people have emailed me this week telling me that they don’t feel accepted by their families and friends. They may accept you, or they may not accept you, but I tell you on the Authority of the Word of God, you are accepted in the Beloved.

It does not matter about your past; all of us have sinned and come short of the glory of God. None of us have the right to be accepted in the Beloved. It is only through His Redemptive Blood and Grace that we have the forgiveness of sins and are accepted in the Beloved.

The next time someone says to you, “You used to do all these bad things”. Look them right in the eye and say “I am accepted in the Beloved and I don’t have to be accepted by you even though I want your acceptance”. When it comes right down to it, all we need is Jesus. He does not turn to His Father and say “Look, they did it again, the very same thing they did in the past”. What Jesus does is stretch His Saving Hand down to us and lift us up again!

It is time that we stop telling people all the things they are doing wrong, and start praying for them and encouraging them. Many times instead of praying for someone, we pray against that person. Instead of asking God to work in that person’s heart, we tell God what needs to be done. We are not God, and we need to stop playing God.
