In this old World of toil and strife,
There is much to be learned, from Animal Life.
God used the Bee, the Ox, the Sheep, and the Fox.
The Lion, and also the Bear,
Whose nature demands far more than their Share.
God gave us the Ants to teach us to work.
Watch them, my Friend, they never shirk.
Then there is the Rabbit, that hops about,
When he gets in trouble, he jumps right out.
The Skunk is known as a stinker you know,
He raises a stink, when on the go.
The Bird eats its food, one peck at a time,
If you watch them close, you will soon want to dine.
God placed all creatures in this world
for me,
To help me to learn, what I ought to be.
